I moved to Colfax in 2000, finally realizing the dream of once again living in a small town. I choose Colfax for it’s proximity to I-80 with an easy drive West to San Francisco or East to Reno. The appealing historic downtown district sealed the deal.

After working as a Computer System Specialist/Project Manager for a couple of years I decided to find a way to work in town. When the Downtown coffee house closed, I took a big leap of faith and opened Camp 20 Coffee House in the historic trading post building. I wanted to create a place that you could get fresh food and perfect lattes in a relaxing and community environment.

With the help of my husband Larry as the Sandwich King, Camp 20 became a hit. I knew Camp 20 was what the community needed when on the 2nd day of business a customer left a book for another to pick up. The connection was made and a precedent was set. If you wanted to connect with someone, leave a message with Teri and it would happen!

Fast forward three years Camp 20 was sold and Larry got his dream job, retirement. My hard work, dedication and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. After Camp 20 sold, a local Broker approached me about becoming a real estate agent. I always had an interest in real estate and bringing people together, so after some research, I said yes.

My years as a pharmacy technician, project manager, business owner and the connections in the community bring a depth of experience to my real estate work. I made the move to Lyon Real Estate in 2009 and remain focused on the rural areas of Placer & Nevada Counties. Lyon Real Estate gives me the opportunity to expand and grow my business with their excellent agent support and focus on superior service.

I am focused on my clients needs, working to find them the perfect new home in the foothills or a qualified buyer for their current property. My attention to the detail including listening to you, knowing the area and community are some of the skills and qualities that I feel will make me your best choice for a local Realtor®. I am also tech savvy and will use my Internet and computer skills to market and find property. I am often described by my clients as tenacious and patient.

Colfax’s size makes it a great town to become involved in. I was the editor for the Colfax Historical Society newsletter for 4 years. I also work with the Kiwanis Club of Greater Colfax and Lions Club of Colfax to put on hot rod shows in town, and with the Colfax Area Chamber of Commerce to put on the Annual Railroad Days Quilt show.
